From Any Direction:
Watch out for deer and wild hogs
any time, especially at night. They can destroy your vehicle.
Once you turn onto FM 1440, slow down. At night do not go faster than
55 mph; in the day, do not go faster than 60 mph.
From Lubbock:
The easiest way to get
here is to take US 70 to Guthrie and turn north on US 62 to Paducah.
About 15 miles north of Paducah on US 62, FM 1440 goes west to Cee Vee and
then turns north towards Tell. Take FM 1440. After you pass
through Cee Vee and turn north, it is about 1 mile to CR 188 on your right
(east) . Go to the end of the road (see details below).
You can maybe cut a few
miles off this by taking 94 out of Matador, which is how Yahoo Maps does it,
but the above directions are very straightforward.
From Amarillo,
Colorado or northern New Mexico:
Take US 287 towards
Childress. One mile east of Estelline is the turn for FM 658.
Turn south and go 11 miles to FM 94. Turn west on FM 94 and go 7.4
miles to FM 1440. Take it south to County Road 188.
From Oklahoma City:
Take I-40 to Shamrock,
Texas. Turn south towards Childress on US 83 through Childress, TX and
continue south 15 miles. After you cross the Pease River, look for FM 1440 going west.
Take FM 1440 for 10 miles through Cee Vee and turn east on County Road 188.
Go to the end of the road (see details below).
Alternately, take I-44
(H.E. Bailey Turnpike) to Lawton. Turn east on US 62 until it
intersect with US 83. Turn south towards Childress. At the
intersection of US 287 and US 83 in Childress continue south 15 miles.
After you cross the Pease
River, look for FM 1440 going west.
Take FM 1440 for 10 miles through Cee Vee and turn east on County Road 188.
Go to the end of the road (see details below).
From DFW:
Take US 287 from DFW to
Wichita Falls on to Childress. In Childress, turn south on US 62.
After about 15 miles (after you cross the Pease
River), look for FM 1440 going west.
Take FM 1440 for 10 miles through Cee Vee and turn east on County Road 188.
Go to the end of the road (see

House Location
At the
intersection of FM 1440 and CR 188 you will see a white sign that says RX
Ranch. Take CR 188 east ½ mile (end of the road) to our gate.
Turn north on the dirt road (the gate will be open if we are expecting you).
One half mile north at the corral is the barn site. Bear to the right to the
house 800 feet further north.
